:: What does it cost?

Each project varies depending on the time and complexity. What matters most is your total project cost and that you feel great about the results. I do my best to deliver exceptional work, and after 20 years refining my craft, I can produce a lot of high-quality work in a short time.

Those hours matter in terms of your cost. With me, your total project cost may actually be lower than other designers or writers who have less experience because they might take much longer to complete the work.

:: How do we get started?

Initial consultation is FREE. Once we've discussed the scope of your project, I provide a proposal for time and cost, and I honor it.

I request a 50% deposit before work begins.  This supports a commitment to getting the work done, and it gets everyone invested in the project and our timeline.

With all my clients, I strive to share a productive, creative, and genuinely fun relationship so the journey of the work is as successful as the outcome.

:: What if I don't have any content yet?

That's what I'm here for! Sometimes my clients only have a vision or a handful of key ideas when we get started. I translate that into clear and concise messaging that will resonate best with their audience, ensuring we use the right blend of professionalism and friendly tone.

I pair that content with an appealing visual design that best reflects my client's personality and the spirit and value of their business.

:: How long does it take to create a website?

For the most part, that depends on you... Typically, the sooner we have content ready, the sooner the site can be designed and developed. It also depends on your availability to provide reviews and feedback as we work through iterations for content and design.

That collaboration is an important part of the process, and I try my best to make it easy, efficient, and productive to ensure we keep the project on track and on budget.

In theory, a basic small business website could be designed and built in a few weeks.

:: Can you build special tools into my site?

In many cases, yes. For example, I've created sites that include animated slideshows, interactive calendars and quizzes, forms, surveys, dates and clocks, and more.

To be cost-effective , I rarely program these tools from scratch as there's no need to reinvent the wheel. I often start with the best tools available online (free or licensed) and customize them to meet the needs of the project.

:: Can you help my site get better search ranking?

I can definitely improve your chances. When I build a website, I code it using best practices that can help the site's performance in search engine ranking.

However, it's important to know that there is no quick fix for achieving high search ranking. It typically requires a longterm strategy using various methods and continuous refinements to keep up with rapid changes in web growth and technologies.

If you'll be relying on search results/high ranking to drive the majority of your business, you'll want to establish goals and a good strategic plan before we start creating (or redesigning) your site. That way, best practices for search ranking optimization can be built into the site early on.
